Trees a rooted history

I love trees and this book is about trees, it talks about all the different types of trees and environments. On one page it shows a drawing of all the tallest trees in the world and landmarks, for example, the general Sherman tree is shorter than the costal redwood tree. It has wonderful illustrations of trees leafs and animals that live and eat the trees. This is a great book and I recommend it to everyone.

Theo of Golden

This is a first novel and a feel-good one at that. Theo, an 86 year old man moves to a small town in Georgia and proceeds to buy and give portraits to the subjects of the artwork. He encounters them in a coffee shop and gets to know the locals including a wide assortment of people, from a homeless woman to a young cellist. Theo grew up in Portugal and no one in town knows his background until he dies a year later. Very moving book.

I liked it so much that I immediately searched for something else she had written. (Long, Bright River - also kind of dark, but very good).

I liked this one part where Nate and his friends, teddy and Francis were at the beach

socks

I think "Socks" is a very good book. I think I would be annoyed with Charles William the baby if I were Socks. my grandparents' cat, Mo, is kind of like Socks because he doesn't like when people make his fur messy. Also, when I feed Mo and I put his plate down, he looks up at me and looks like he's thinking, "That's not enough," except he's not fat and we don't need to give him less food, like Socks. Another difference between Mo and Socks is that Socks goes outside and Mo has to stay inside because he might fall through the holes in the balcony and fall into the water.

This was pretty much as good as everyone said it was! I think I wish I understood Natalie’s motivations a little bit more, but I also read so fast I may have missed some things!
